The University of Massachusetts Orthopaedic Surgery Residency participates in the National Resident Match Program (NRMP). Each year UMass receives well over 600 applications from medical students across the country and invite 65 qualified candidates for interviews. There are 5 first-year residents (PGY-1's) with 4 in the five-year track and 1 in the six-year track which includes one year of academic research after the internship year. 

All applications will be handled through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and no other information other than what is required by ERAS is needed. A minimum of three letters of recommendation. The deadline for completed applications is October 1st.
